SAD...
BUT STILL SO CUTE!
look out Sophie is driving.
Funny thing is... I used to drive in my CRX like this.
no lie.
Wonder why she is wearing that mask?
well, I'll tell ya.
Sophie has been teething for a while now...
growing those molars, son.
and when she teethes she runs a fever
nothing big 100.6-101.0
last Tuesday (March13)
when I checked she was at 102.6
YIKES!
so... we took her to instacare
they said it was a virus and it would last 5 -7 days.
we gave her medicine on schedule but on Sunday when we checked
she was at
104.4
want proof ?
BAM
so we took her to the ER
the Triage nurse was nice.
She was eventually admitted- Jake helped her cool down
by playing in the sink.
SUCH A GOOD DADDY!
JUST LOVE THAT MAN!
SO to make a long story short
nobody could get an IV in poor Sophie.
She was very very dehydrated!
it took 8 tries... and these people are Pro's
they finally got one into her foot... sad.
She was pumped with fluid and swabbed so that
the lab could investigate what's up.
look at her heart monitors... awwww
if that doesn't make you wanna cry..
sniff
sniff
you might be inhuman!
I'm pretty sure that it's child abuse to try and fish around for vein 8 times. It was Traumatic!
She is all bruised now... makes me feel bad.
She doesn't like people in SCRUBS at all anymore.
they let her walk around a little
(have you ever tried to hold a toddler for 3 1/2 days?)
it's like herding cats!
When she got tired we went back to the IV
her vitals were good... but she wouldn't drink
we had to trick her into eating
so i enlisted my mom to help
she would pull up pictures of her cats on her phone
and then sneak her some yougart...
smart!
she really liked this toy boat
on the last day... we got to go to the playroom
sophie really likes the cars
